“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

Basic Principles of Faith

We believe: the Bible is the Word of God, all the canonical books of the Old Testament – 39 and the New Testament – 27 – inspired by God, infallible and infallible (2 Tim. 3: 16,17; 2 Pet. 1: 21; John 17: 17; 2 Pet. .3: 16).

We believe: in the One, Living, True God (Deuteronomy 4: 35; Isaiah 44: 6). Creator (Is. 45: 12). God is Spirit (John 4:24).

We believe that the One True God exists in the three persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit: “…baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit…” (Mt. 28:19) , “May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all!” (2Cor.13:13), see also 1 John 5:7; John 17:3; 1M.1:26; Mt. 3:16-17.

We believe that man was created by God sinless in the image and likeness of God, with free will (Genesis 1: 27). Man violated God’s commands and fell into sin, as a result of which all mankind inherited sin and death (Rom. 3: 23; 5:12).

We believe: Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Eternal God (John 1:1-3). Christ is the Messiah and the only Savior of the world (Acts 4:12). Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, united in Himself the divine and human being (Is. 7: 14; Luke 1: 35). “Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Cor. 15: 3-4). The resurrected Jesus Christ ascended to heaven, sat down at the right hand of God and became our Advocate before the Father (Acts 1: 9-11, Hebrews 1: 3). Jesus Christ will come again to earth (Acts 1: 11).

We believe that life is God’s sacred gift to man: “The Lord God created man from the dust of the earth. And he breathed into her nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul” (1M.2:7), see also Acts 17:25;

a) no one has the right to take life:

— himself: “Do no harm to yourself…” (Acts 16:28),

— another person: “Don’t kill!” (2M.20:13), see also 5 M. 5:17, 27:24, Mt. 5:21, 19:18, Mk. 10:19, Lk. 18:20, Rom. 13:9, Jak. 2:11,

— human embryo: “Your eyes saw my embryo, and all my members were written in your book and the days that were made in them, when none of them was…” (Ps. 138:16);

b) only God has the right to interrupt a person’s earthly life: “My Spirit will not prevail in a person forever, because he commits adultery. She is a body, and her days will be a hundred and twenty years” (1M.6-.3), see also 1M. 6:13;

c) every person is obliged to respect the lives of other people and use his own responsibly;

d) a person who swears or learns to kill sins against God’s commandments: “Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, and war shall no longer be learned” (Is. 2:4), see also Mt. 5:34-36; “And I tell you not to swear at all…” (Mt. 26:52), see also Mt. 5:44; 2M. 20:13.

We believe that sin is a violation of God’s Law: “For sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4).

We believe that weapons should not be used, even for self-defense, because “All who take the sword will perish by the sword” (Matthew 26:52).
